Bonjour! We are Clementine and Mori, two recent U.S. immigrants. we are restoring an abandoned chateau in rural france.

Chateau de Melzéard is a neo-classical, 19th century historical monument, designed by architect Ojam on a site that dates back to at least the 15th century. After decades, Melzeard was largely abandoned and neglected, besides a movie being filmed on location in 1984. In the early ‘90s, Melzeard was badly burned, with two-thirds of the building being completely devastated by fire.

It has been in ruins ever since. 

We purchased Melzeard in 2025 and plan to fully restore the chateau, chapel, and 15th century Keep, along with the overgrown grounds and gardens.
