Chateau de Melzéard

is a neo-classical, 19th century estate, designed by architect Ojam on a site that dates back to at least the 15th century. After decades, Melzeard was largely abandoned and neglected, besides a movie being filmed on location in 1984. In the early ‘90s, Melzeard was badly burned, with two-thirds of the building being completely devastated by the fire. It has been in ruins ever since.
